“Just had 3 sessions with Jenny working on recall issues with my young Jack Russell, Ronnie. To say Jenny performed miracles with Ronnie wouldn’t be far wrong!! At the start of the first session Ronnie had next to no sense of recall and rarely came back when called - how quickly this changed! Through the activities and exercises I learnt from Jenny, Ronnie is like a different dog - she comes back practically every time when called.

“Arthur's reactivity has come down massively. Arthur is a good boy but he was very reactive when he saw and cycle or jogger. Very barky, very scared and lunged a lot. I was worried about him getting loose while we were near a road.

I took the reactivity training package somewhat out of desperation. I would say the problem halved almost right away after the first session. Jenny is brilliant and she taught me some useful techniques for both before he reacts and after he reacts.

There have been a few moments where he takes a step back on his progress, but he is a different dog and we are different owners. We have techniques now for every situation and his progress has been remarkable. I feel like as he gets older and with some work, he will be a very calm boy by the end of the year.

As a bonus, he is walking much better on the lead. I previously relied on a Halti, but I don't need that anymore.

Jenny is brilliant, she loves dogs and is very knowledgeable. Arthur loved her and the support on WhatsApp between sessions was invaluable.

“Victoria at People and Dogs has helped me rehabilitate two pretty damaged rescue dogs to date and I’d highly recommend her. Both my dogs were / are exceptionally anxious at first - to the point that they wouldn’t even let me approach them, so I needed to be certain that any help was from a qualified behaviourist who would not use aversive methods that could further traumatise the dogs. With Victoria’s help we managed to transform my first rescue dog from a nervous wreck into a happy little dog who lived with us for 9 years. The second dog is an ex stray from Romania who was feral when we adopted her. 10 months down the line and she is now a much loved family pet who has overcome most of her issues (fear of traffic / men / loud noises) I can also now walk her off lead, which at first looked like it would never be possible! I simply couldn’t have helped these two dogs without Victoria’s help and advice. Would not hesitate to recommend - it’s such a worthwhile investment to have dogs that are trained and responsive!”
